Student Immigration Protests
Student's walked out of class and into the immigration issue today. I saw a great many Mexican flags and a lot of brown faces. I find their actions highly abhorrent.
There are several things that should be done based on today's events. Students that walked out of class should be suspended or expelled. There is no excuse for them leaving class. They had the entire week-end to protest. They cost school districts thousands of dollars in revenue by their departure. Worse, they show a total lack of respect for the taxpayers funding their education.
While I am angered at their lack of respect, there is little else to expect for the children of criminals. Yes, criminals. Most of their parents are here illegally, or were illegally here in the US until the last citizenship giveaway twenty years ago.
Our laws must be enforced and they must be changed, especially as relates to citizenship. The fruit of the poison tree is a legal concept that says no one should gain from an illegal activity. The children of illegal aliens should not be granted US citizenship simply because mama spawned her child on US soil. The only people entitled to US citizenship are children with at least one parent who is a US citizen or who is a legal immigrant. If your parents are Mexican; you are Mexican.
Children leaving school is a crime. Those that organized these demonstrations should be tried for conspiracy to violate the law. They should be thrown in jail and when they get out, sent back to their country of origin. Enough is enough. This is my country, not theirs. My family came here legally and I expect no less from any other group. My family did not speak English when it got here but we learned. I expect no less from any other group. My family works, pays taxes, attends school and obeys our laws. I demand no less from any other group. If you can't live up to our laws you don't belong here: GO HOME!
